History
United Foursquare was birthed out of the need for the kingdom of God to unite as one entity on this earth and to pursue the hearts of people for Jesus through action as much as words. A vision in the mind of Pastor Peter Adams and his wife Breanna, the Holy Spirit spoke to their hearts at one o’clock in the morning saying, “It is time.” Immediately God gathered His people to rally around this adventure, from Puyallup, Federal Way, Kirkland, and various other places; from differing denominational backgrounds: Catholic, Presbyterian, Nazarene, and Vineyard; to start a unified and immovable force in Monroe.
From that morning onward the vision has become more and more clear through prayer and action in direction. Starting in Monroe Dance Theatre, a studio owned by Breanna, their core group consisted of 7 and quickly grew to a place where they needed to move to a larger facility. In April of 2006 they held their Easter service in their new location at Frank Wagner Auditorium.
In that time they have been very involved in what is going on in the community. From parades, relief efforts for the flood, to unified intra-church efforts to gain a foothold in the community through the “Battery Blitz” United has made a mark in many lives. United Foursquare continues to grow and adjust in such a way that would honor the vision and leading of the Holy Spirit.
